Live streaming workflows

An MK.IO live workflow receives a continuous source, processes or passes through the signal, records it to an asset, and publishes it for playback. Use this page to choose the guide for each part of that workflow.

Start with the shortest path

Live stream in five minutes takes you from a Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) source to a playback URL. Use it for a first test with OBS Studio or another prepared encoder.

Use the recording

MK.IO writes the live output to an asset in the selected storage account. After the event stops, you can process and publish that asset through the same guides used for Video on Demand (VOD):
