Assets and storage

Assets organize the source files and outputs used by live and VOD workflows. Connect storage first, then choose how MK.IO should add or reference your media.

Connect storage

• Connect cloud storage through the portal.
• Configure storage with the Media API, including the Google.Storage provider defined by the API.
• Configure private storage access when your storage does not use public network access.

Add assets

• Choose an asset workflow: Compare upload, existing storage, and Azure Media Services import workflows.
• Reference existing storage: Create an asset that references files already held in Azure Blob Storage or Amazon S3.
• Upload from your device: Upload local files to a new MK.IO asset.
• Import AMS assets: Import assets from Azure Media Services storage.

Manage assets

• Add files to an existing asset.
• Verify asset files and tracks.
• Create an asset filter.
• Publish imported assets.
